The ocean liners are ready in LanzaroteESD to start the 2018 Grand Prix. Lanzarote – Cape Verde – Island of Martinique
This Wednesday January 10th the participants will depart from Marina Rubicón, Lanzarote, to Du Marin, island of Martinique, the finish line of this new edition. The Spanish ocean race is 100% amateur and is made every twoion years and, on this occasion, the sailors will have to go through the Mindelo Canal, Cape Verde, before heading west towards their final destinat.
The crews and their boats are ready in Lanzarote to start this adventure. Participants in this adventure known sailors of the Atlantic. Some of them have already sailed from the European continent to the Antilles, as the solo sailor from Almería, Juan Antonio Martín who will make on this occasion his 14 Atlantic crossing on-board his Oceanis 34 Vagabundo. Also, among the participants we find the sailor Francisco Vaño from Alicante, who will make his second oceanic crossing on-board the Westerly 41 Colomba V. He already made the Grand Prix in the 2014 edition in the solo category, and this time he will make it with Manuel Garcia and José Fernando Hernández, an experienced crew and with their new boat that has been prepared for the Atlantic crossing.
