The athlete Eloi Palau spent two weeks on Lanzarote preparing for the upcoming competitions, an experience he enjoyed very much
Lanzarote is the ideal setting for any outdoor sporting discipline, due to its perfect climate and unique landscapes. This has been the experience of Eloi Palou, who spent two weeks training on the island. The young athlete, world trial champion in 2022, stresses that his passion for trial and MTB is largely due to the opportunity it brings to travel and discover such unique places as A Unique Island.

For Eloi, trial is his profession, but MTB is his hobby, and he enjoys it immensely during his travels. “I think the bike is the best way to explore places, whether in the mountains, on the road or on the beach. And that’s what I love“, he says. He is passionate about travelling and always makes sure to take his MTB with him on every adventure.
Eloi Palau already has an extensive track record in trial. In 2018, he reached 4th place in the elite category at world level. In 2021, he achieved 2nd place in the overall classification of the World Cup and won the bronze medal in the World Championship, finishing the season in 3rd place in the world trial ranking. Finally, in 2022, his hard work and dedication paid off when he became Elite World Champion.

This year, his goal is to win the world championship again, but Eloi stresses the importance of enjoying the process and the training in places as special as Lanzarote. “These days I’ve spent on the island have been wonderful. The terrain here is completely different to what I am used to in Catalonia; the sandy surfaces and the volcanic terrain are unique. I’ve never seen anything like this before and I’m really enjoying it.“
