The thirteenth edition of the Ocean Lava Lanzarote once again left the best triathlon on the Lanzarote coast of Puerto del Carmen with an unparalleled atmosphere that was noticeable from the days before the test, with competitors, companions and fans coming to the surroundings of the main hub to begin getting mentally focused on the different categories, which started on the 21 October.
The winner of the last two IRONMAN Lanzarote, the British Lydia Dant, won gold in the Half Distance along with the Majorero César Vera, after conquering the 1,900m swimming, 90km cycling and 20km on foot. While Carolina Nowak and Jorge Wilkes did the same in the Olympic circuit after 1,500m swimming, 40km cycling and 10km on foot; in addition to Elizabeth Svyeshnikova and Juan Daniel González, with golds in the women’s and men’s races in a dizzying Supersprint of 400m swimming, 11km cycling and 2.5km on foot.
With almost 600 registered participants and more than 25 nationalities represented, the XIII Ocean Lava Lanzarote was once again the talk of the town.
